OT but what do you think steve?http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/liberal-mp-hits-out-says-get-a-life-after-revelations-of-abbotts-monkey-pod-gatherings-20151125-gl7ohj.htmlIt has been reported that Mr Abbott is couch-surfing at the apartment Ms Credlin shares with her husband, the outgoing Federal Director of the Liberal Party Brian Loughnane
Yes, the original report of this staying at Credlin's was at AFR, and again carried a clear degree of innuendo. (It made reference to Credlin sharing the unit with her husband "when he's in Canberra" or something like that.)And again, we had no statement by Abbott, or Credlin, or their spouses, complaining that they are sick of the recent innuendo about an affair, and it's hurtful and has to stop.Honestly, it's getting harder and harder to read this as anything other than the media knowing that the Abbotts cannot complain about the innuendo because denying it would lead to somewhere they don't want to go. Thus the media are going there now...although why they just wouldn't go the whole way remains a bit puzzling.
By the way, given that Margie Abbott obviously is still happy enough to go to England with Tone, I would assume that it is more a case of what may be in the past between him and Credlin, rather than what is current. (It's hard to imagine any wife of Abbott being so enamoured with him that she would tolerate a current affair. Unlike, say, Jacqueline Kennedy who had a lot to gain by sticking by her charming rich President of a husband.) And the information I heard about Abbott that I once alluded to at Catallaxy was actually not about him and Credlin at all, but another woman.
