Does sound plausible to me.
I again heard Theresa May on the radio this morning saying that another referendum would be a betrayal of democracy, or some such nonsense.
I still can't get my head around how politicians like her can't get their head around how context matters. The people would actually understand what is at stake now. They obviously did not at the time of the first referendum.
And no Homer, you're just wrong on this one.

It is a very elitist argument and silly
Parliament will reject the deal, there will be a brexit but without an agreement.

Homer, anyone with a brain - how is that for elitism - can tell that the British public would now have a grasp of the complexities of Brexit that they did not have at the time of the first referendum.
You're just denying reality if you think you can mount an argument against that point.
Even (some) libertarians are arguing for a second referendum. And as said at a Reason blog:

There’s been a referendum and a general election ( that the leave party won ) so far.

Labor went to the election saying they would support Brexit, did they not? Just argued they would negotiate better. The public didn't really have a choice.
The electorate surmised, and we’re later proved correct, that Labor were full of shit when they said they supported Brexit.
