The dubious Ita

Look, Ita Buttrose had an affair with lumpy, married boss Kerry Packer - why should I trust her judgement on anything else after that?

Her comments about the ABC yesterday were somewhat worryingly vague, even muttering about unconscious bias and "more diversity of views".   (Show us the Right wing commentators with talent as broadcasters, Ita - if Sky News at Night and talk back radio are any guide, they don't exist.   Or if one wants to argue (ridiculously) that Alan Jones has obvious talent because look at his audience numbers - well, as if he is going to take a pay cut to work at the ABC.)

She was appointed by Morrison and a government that still had members who spend every waking moment unhappy that the ABC does not have hosts who agree with them.   And the Murdoch press is running a "must further defund the ABC/SBS" campaign in The Australian already, as if the motivation for that is not glaringly obvious.

I don't think Ita is going to be good in the job, somehow.

Racist far right Kiwi blog Whaleoil, using free speech to incite hatred that favours their chosen electoral path, is the Kiwi equivalent of Catallaxy. A NZ investigative journo has published a book on them.

'Hager was the author of a 2014 book which also focused on Slater and his blog, which purported to show Slater taking cash to attack people online. It also claimed the blog ran "hit jobs" for the National Party'

If you're referring to me, I'm not anybody's Homer. But quite happy to hit you for a metaphorical homer any day. What a disgusting blog Catallaxy is. Allegedly now minimising hate speech towards Muslims, hate speech directed towards indigenous Australians continues unabated. I assume the IPA still wants to grab more land and minerals so the effort to delegitimise indigenous rights will continue.

  4. Act 1, Scene II. “Frailty, thy name is woman! ...'

I think we can let Ita off the hook a little bit here. Its hardwired into chick DNA to get wet, and near orgasmic, fully clothed with their hands behind their back, over rich and powerful men, whether they be fat, ugly, unhygienic, morally dubious, unhealthy, or all of the above.

Look at the boy. Just as unbecoming as the wrong end of the poo-stick, and yet women have always been chasing after him. These unfortunate things are not specific to Ita.
