I don't even understand how it's considered a sport. what's the specific athletic ability involved in cricket? the ability to withstand boredom? to stand around all day waiting for a ball?
Well, it may not be exactly an athletic ability, but I can see how it takes some bravery as a batsman to be confident that the ball is not going to kill you.
But this also make me feel it is a stupid game for insisting that such a dangerously heavy and inflexible ball be used in the first place.
I mean, how many baseball injuries are there, yet they bash that ball a long distance. (I just checked - just one major league player died from a pitched ball - in 1920!)
Cricket, on the other hand, has many examples of death by ball.
you will be deported
