It's amazing how much media attention has been directed to the Albanese blunder. Like most Australians, I think, I don't care about it at all. It's as if the media have become so addicted to 'gotcha' journalism that they now know no other way to do it.
I don't know what effect it will have on the campaign; it might even be a positive for Albanese - the right-wing equivalent of the latte left will spend so much time focusing on unimportant blunders that they ignore more substantive issues he raises.

Yes. And as Fiona complains - it's just ridiculous that the media pretends that it doesn't keep it alive by their own choices. They are not dummies, they know what they are doing; and with the likes of Twitter now, they know that we (the politically engaged) know what they are doing, so why don't they smarten up and just stop doing it?? Grr.
