What is Hezbollah up to? By Fred Kaplan

One thing I wonder about - where do they hide all of those rockets in Southern Lebanon?

  1. Where do they hide the rockets?

    Basements of houses, mainly.

Hospital storage areas for the larger ones, and of course, Kindergartens are perfect. The problem is that the larger ones can't actually be launched from built-up areas. They need to be transported to a launch site by truck.

But even then, they can get some protection by moving them in ambulance convoys, or with medical supplies. Or best of all, school busses.

You must remember that a great deal of the civilian infrastructure in South Lebanon, schools and hospitals, were built by Hizbullah. It's an interesting military problem trying to neutralise a launcher purpose-built into a hospital complex. But they mainly appear to be using them for storage, rather than launch sites.
