Maybe it will cause people to cast a cynical eye towards Jackson himself, who seems a nice enough fellow, but I can't see how he rates as a director.
The Lord of the Rings was a great book an excellent films. The books were a trilogy so made three films quite logical. And at about 1000 pages, even 9 hours had to leave out a fair bit.
ReplyDeleteBut hard to see how the Hobbit at 400 pages will fill three films, without padding and thus spoiling another good story.
