I strongly suspected that there was some poor science reporting going on with that story in Nature News "How gravity kills Schrodinger's Cat". And I was right.
Truth is, there are passages in the encyclical that sound distinctly like 60's/70's naive enviromentalism, and as such are a little bit embarrassing.
Yet when it comes to the Big Issue that actually may devastate the planet wide environment, the Pope's better on science than your gullible Senator, which I would have thought is an even bigger embarrassment for you.
