He has no idea

Have you seen the nauseating video the White House put out of Trump's hospital visit to Dayton, Ohio?  See it at this Tweet, which puts it context:

It is genuinely bizarre - a pure PR exercise by Trump that looks exactly like a campaign commercial.

(And a sign that celebrity culture has completely corrupted the way people think they should act around anyone famous - regardless of how appropriate it really is that smiley, happy images should be appearing around a tragic event.)

The comments reactions on Twitter are good. For example:

What has Asperger's got to do with this video clip and what makes you think they have little self-awareness(I don't recall seeing that in the Baron-Cohen metric for ASD).

  3. what does Trump have?

  4. He certainly doesn't have ASD.

  5. Here is one reason why Trump is such a puppet of Israel. Roy Cohn was a mentor of Trump and apparently the evil Epstein of his day.

  6. ASD and autism signs can include:

Social issues such as difficulty communicating – including verbal and nonverbal communication
Problems interacting with others – difficulty following social cues
    Repetitive behaviour
    Narrow interests

None of which is relevant to Trump. People who throw out these diagnoses typically don't even know what stimming but that is a classic repetitive behavior in ASD. You don't have a clue stop pretending you do.

  11. I'm happy to stick with this diagnosis:

    Narcissistic Personality Disorder

The hallmarks of narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) are grandiosity, a lack of empathy for other people, and a need for admiration. People with this condition are frequently described as arrogant, self-centered, manipulative, and demanding. They may also have grandiose fantasies and may be convinced that they deserve special treatment. These characteristics typically begin in early adulthood and must be consistently evident in multiple contexts, such as at work and in relationships.

People with NPD often try to associate with other people they believe are unique or gifted in some way, which can enhance their own self-esteem. They tend to seek excessive admiration and attention and have difficulty tolerating criticism or defeat.

  13. clearly few people read the article!

Why is trump is bad after tragedies. He has no empathy. so much for him being a people person. quite possibly the silliest comment I have ever read. Perhaps Soony needs to read about trump and his life

  14. autistic people are blind to social cues
that's different from not being blind but not giving a fuck which is trump's persona
you are a goose homer, if he had autism he would not be a good negotiator

  15. aspergers mate. Read. read the article you ignorant twit.
social cues a plenty are missed

Who apart from Trump says he is a good negotiator.
you need to do research Soony.

you are quite ignorant about trump.

  16. the pendulum has swung back from asperger to calling it autism spectrum disorder so it's all just a name change, so know your subject before blabbing!

How the hell do you think Trump got to where he did? not by technical expertise and no of course I don't mean by 'people person' that he would be a good fit in the caring professions. but he knows enough about people to bullshit and bluster and wheedle and bargain - these are not skills that aspergerish people have you numbskill.

there is a difference between missing social cues and intentionally not giving a fuck. Trump is in the latter category

    ReplyDelete
  17. you have completely ignored the article which proves you wrong.

your explanation of a people person would do JC justice. It is entire nonsense.

He has always missed social cues as he does here. That he does not care is incidental

  18. I've been reading other lists of symptoms of Narcisstic Personality Disorder, and honest to God, they read like a check list of Trump behaviour:

Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder and the severity of symptoms vary. People with the disorder can:

Have an exaggerated sense of self-importance

Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration

Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it

    Exaggerate achievements and talents

Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate

Believe they are superior and can only associate with equally special people

Monopolize conversations and belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior

Expect special favors and unquestioning compliance with their expectations

Take advantage of others to get what they want

Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others

Be envious of others and believe others envy them

Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious

Insist on having the best of everything — for instance, the best car or office

At the same time, people with narcissistic personality disorder have trouble handling anything they perceive as criticism, and they can:

Become impatient or angry when they don't receive special treatment

Have significant interpersonal problems and easily feel slighted

React with rage or contempt and try to belittle the other person to make themselves appear superior

Have difficulty regulating emotions and behavior

Experience major problems dealing with stress and adapting to change

Feel depressed and moody because they fall short of perfection

Have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, vulnerability and humiliation

That's from the Mayo Clinic, btw.

  19. NPD is a reasonable assumption, Asperger's is absurd.

Aspies typically don't like being the limelight, Trump thrives on it.
Aspies don't like huge crowds, Trump loves talking to thousands.
Aspies often demonstrate very good memories, Trump has a memory that suggests he's losing it.
Aspies are very detail oriented, Trump isn't.
Aspies can be too honest for their own good, Trump is dishonest for his own good.
