Well she is reacting to something she ought not be taking too seriously. But think about the situation a few months from now? The pattern for Corona Virus is case, case, case, cluster cluster ..... BOOM.
So playing the situation forward ..... in two months time her over-reaction won't be an over-reaction. And two months after that she will be on the wrong side of the argument and these rallies may well have to come to an end.
Maybe we can change these "months" to "weeks." Such is the nature of exponential growth.
Try and just imagine how the virus will be if it continues its exponential growth? Then even serious people will be calling to stop all these rallies. Or even public meetings. Trump rallies, being the most popular, will be the focus, and so there will be a very real feeling against freedom of assembly. Since Trump rallies are the most popular, being as the media and DNC neutralised all popular candidates on the Democratic side, Trump rallies will remain the focus.
I think it would be easy to take either side of this debate. On the one hand you have leftist lunatics and oligarchs who never miss a chance to rig the rules. On the other hand you have a serious virus, and we don't yet know if it will go quiescent in the northern hemisphere summer. The so-called R-nought is a lot higher than for normal flu, though it cannot be readily quantified with any exactitude. But these things tend to die out in summer.
Even the Spanish flu died down in the Northern Summer then came back the next year super-hard. If the dumb left hadn't made fools of themselves with their "Orange Man Bad" mania, then maybe normal people could be putting forth a sound argument to not go to political rallies clean through to June.
I don't know about you two geniuses. But I don't have your capacity to judge a reaction, without knowing about what the person is reacting too. What the fuck has happened to you Homer? You have become Steve's mini-me? You want to quit the proton pump inhibitors and phase out the blood pressure pills.

ReplyDeleteThat makes no sense.
