Of course it's illegal

Here's a New York Times article that didn't seem to hang around getting highlighted for long:

We also have Iranian ships being sunk thousands of kilometres away, which makes the "it's not a war, just a combat operation" argument pretty laughable.   

 

What I don't understand is Trumpian supporters not getting that the "good guys" aren't supposed to join in with what the bad guys shouldn't be doing.
