"Wild swimming" is apparently becoming popular in cold, polluted British waterways. I did notice that Griff Rhys Jones seemed unusually keen on swimming in any murky brown stuff in his recent TV series about British rivers. Odd people.

Steve, I read your blog regularly even (especially) though you're Oz like my dad. Yanno, I get fed up with generalised anti-Brit remarks. Even if you don't mean *me*, it feels as if you just said something cheap, and the Oz part of me is embarrassed for you.
Heh. On reflection, I guess you can live with that. :)
I'm sorry Anne. Of co I say entirely seriously, but it's true that it even surprises me how much of what passes for British culture annoys me now. That's my real beef with the place.

I don't know what happened then - it was supposed to read "of course your shouldn't take all of what I say entirely seriously.."
Tsk tsk tsk. Whatever happened to good old anti-Americanism?
'S OK, Steve, I wasn't taking it personally. Just had a bad day and felt like venting.
The weather here is crap, mostly. We have to make the best of it.
