Do fast workouts really work?
The article is light on detail, but it does seem that the idea of short, sharp workouts being as good as long, tedious exercise has really caught on in the US.
Good news for people like me, who have always found lengthy exercise a boring waste of time. Harry Clarke recently linked to this article, from which I have cut the example set of exercises:

In WW2 they developed an exercise program for pilots that was all of 12 minutes. This program appears to be like that.
Long bouts of exercise are for fitness people. Most research highlights moderate exercise with only a few hours a week being required. What is now emerging is that prolonged sitting, even with regular exercise, is a serious problem.
So don't stay too long seated Steve, get up every 30 minutes to get the blood moving.
