I should have added this to my last post, but for those interested in the future of artificial brain enhancement (I'm hoping for a electric skull cap to hold off deterioration by the time I'm 80), this article is a pretty good read.

I think Andrea's comments are the best advice for people: stop using technology and start using the brain. Eg. I never refer to my contacts list until first attempting to remember the phone number. I'm not even sure why people are so desperate to enhance their overall intelligence, it seems better to focus on enhancing the specific cognitive abilities relevant to our daily lives.
