I'm ambivalent about the psi thing. It doesn't contradict science, and I have read an meta-analysis which states that the studies point to levels of statistical significance that are accepted in biomedical studies, which admittedly isn't saying much. A couple of weeks ago this came up, highlighting how two strong critics of psi studies have since changed their minds.
As to mediums, of that I am very doubtful but like yourself all too often, even in my personal life and that of friends, things have happened that can't be explained away. Calling such things "co-incidence" is not an explanation, simply an appellation.
