Lesson not learned

A good, pretty detailed explanation at the New York Times about how the Kansas experiment in tax  was a complete failure, yet the Republicans at a Federal level want to try the same thing.   (Not just a tax cut, but to do with the pass-through exemption.)

How can they not have learnt the lesson?

Never been stupider, I keep saying - and with plenty of evidence.

Same thing happened in Colorado. Tried the Libertarian experiment, complete failure.

Step

Kansas didn’t work because the tax change was small potatoes. Stop the stupidity

Check out Sth Dakota where state taxes were lowered to zero and it did work. Even after the tax cuts, Kansas was still a very high taxing state. You idiot .

You mean the South Dakota (population: around 3), of which Cato wrote in 2016:

"Recent tax cuts in places such as Florida, Indiana, Maine, New York, North Carolina, and Texas have been offset by hikes in places such as Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and South Dakota."

Also - not sure you read the article I linked to. Was about people changing to use pass through entities to reduce tax, not just the tax cut itself.

JC obviously has never been taught economics.

It is what happens at the margin that is important.

mind you no-one form the 'right' was saying it was smal potatoes at the times.
