A telling tale of the United States

So, the US could get him to the Moon and back, but couldn't assure safe surgery under their health care system?

Either that or I am being unfair and it was not the hospital's/surgeon's fault, but what about the ridiculous litigation infested US system that was unfairly used to enrich a white family that probably had money to spare?

Either way, I can turn it into a Lefty attack on the modern US.

Oh, so only poor people can be aggrieved through tortuous negligence and they should only be allowed to sue. Stupid is as stupid does.

By the way, JC, you seem to pointedly not get involved in commenting on my anti-Brexit posts.

You an anti-Brexiter but don't want to admit it? Go on, tell Jason he's wrong.

No-one can ever get anyone to the moon and back using rocketry. Not now or at any time in the future. Attempt not to be an idiot Steve.

Clearly he was assassinated.

GMB, what about Jules Verne?

Didn’t he think about some sort of cannon? Would have killed the crew and wrecked the gear. Hydrogen cannons can help build up cargo in near earth orbit.

Brexit is boring, Stepford. They either leave or they stay and all this drama queening is boring. Having said that, I think it was a mistake for the UK to enter into the EU at the beginning and I also think it's a mistake to leave now. Having said that I would have voted to leave. I think that the UK is good for the EU and the EU is good for Britain. They need each other, but more so the EU - to anchor the Germans and make them more civilized and see that they behave. Horrible people.

Well, that was a well thought approach to the topic, JC.

Just joking - it's actually a bizarre bucket of contradictions - or like the newspaper at the bottom of Bird's cage.

See, this is why I believe you're gay and haven't come out of the closet. You asked me a question, which I answered and you then come back with a very gay reply. There are no contradictions.

Yeah sure, JC, you obnoxious twit: saying that you think the UK leaving is a mistake but you would have voted for it to leave makes perfect sense. Everyone can see that.

You might be able to explain how those two ideas co-exist, but you made no attempt.

There’s no contradiction you asshat. I would have to leave and in hindsight it looks like it’s a mistake.

Stop the drama queening.

The city-state, surrounded with some agricultural territory, like Athens and Attica ... Thats the best setup. The only bad thing about it is you are going to come under attack from the Persian Empire. We in Australia would do much better if we could split up into mini-states. The only reason why we ought not do that is that we want to be able to keep foreign invaders off the continent and also avoid arms-races and violence between each-other.

I cannot for the life of me see a reason why the UK should be part of Europe. It beggars belief to think that someone could come up with an excuse. With one of the most sophisticated nuclearised navies in the world they don't need the French and Germans to protect them, ergo they ought to be independent. They should separate from Europe and then Cantonise themselves. Cantonisation is the way forward.
