Woke mining executive

The chief executive of the world's largest mining company has endorsed drastic action to combat global warming, which he calls "indisputable," and an emerging crisis.

"The planet will survive. Many species may not," BHP CEO Andrew Mackenzie told a business breakfast in London on Tuesday.

"This is a confronting conclusion but as a veteran geologist once said, 'you can't argue with a rock.'"
The link is here.

A pod of pea brain opinion writers for The Australian are drafting their pooh-poohing columns in response as I write.

This is disgraceful. Bolshies in charge of Multi-nationals!

What next they will ask for a price on carbon and become members of the Pigou club

What this really shows is the role of ponzi-money in modern blue chip business. The bigshots are no longer maximising profit. They are looking to maximise the fractional reserve interest rate subsidy. The CEO's want all that debt loot and see it as more important than improving margins.

So big businessmen are now puppets on a string for the merchants of debt. Andrew Mackenzie wouldn't know squat about science. He's just some dope who was organised enough to have his bed made by 5.00 am most mornings.
