For that reason, I note that he was writing on the weekend, quoting an article about Lenin's rhetorical approach (my bold):

Compulsive underlining, name calling, and personal invective hardly exhaust the ways in which Lenin’s prose assaults the reader.

Kates NEVER ever learns. I remember I first came across him when he claimed Japan had unpteen fiscal stimuli in the 90s.
That was easily disproved by examining a speech by Adam Posen which actually showed that during the 90s Japan's economy rose or slowed depending on fiscal policy. The largest was a fiscal contraction.
