I tried to point out to Paul Fritjers at Troppo that he vastly over-estimated the costs of the lockdown and did not not even consider any of the benefits. moreover if a lockdown di not occur an informal one would have. People were wearing masks and 'panic buying ' well before anyone knew what a lockdown was. One should also note employers would have a duty of care to their employees as well.
