Words means whatever they want it to mean, apparently

I've been interested to note that the indigenous victimhood professionals are very, very onside with Palestine:

Of course, the situation is very, very messy, and I have no doubt innocent Palestinian lives are being lost.

But I still have trouble taking seriously any commentary that does not start with a call for Hammas to release civilian hostages.

Speaking of windbaggery, I see that Stan Grant has gone pompous to the max in his complaint about the outcome of the Voice referendum:

"Reconciliation is not a word. Not any more. Healing is not a word. Not any more. Unity is not a word. What once were words are now antiseptic," he said.

From another source:

“The Voice was never about resentment, it was never about identity – it was a release, it was a moment to lay our burdens down,” Grant said.

“But Australia would not shoulder that load.

“Instead, we got a lecture about unity.

“Those who own history claimed for themselves history’s final word: ‘no’.”

And:

“We have laid the sod over [my ancestors], sealed them in,” he said.

“I thought in me they may be able to speak, that those two sides of me might find a common voice.

He's a walking word salad generator.

Did you actually unfollow her, or do you not follow her at all, just pop onto her account from time to time to find something to disagree with? :p

BTW, you will not be surprised at all to find that the lefty artistic circles I mostly move in are very enthusiastically taking up this rhetoric also. So many statements against the 'genocide in Gaza' by so many Worthies, and not a single one of them mention the atrocities committed in Israel or the ongoing hostage crisis.

I don't follow her, I just check in often to see what piffle she is on about today.

I don't know, I do feel a bit guilty about dissing her publicly as I think it's clear from her online conduct that she has insecurities and "issues" that she should probably be in therapy for. I mean, I found recently that she had a video interview up on Youtube in which she said she made some half baked attempt to kill herself during the Covid lockdown. She also misses her Mum and brother who have both died.

But, but...I still feel that she is such a victimhood grievance machine getting paid good money to generate piffle around the world that I just feel she needs to be told, so to speak.

okay I agree that Hamas did evil atrocities in Israel but it seems to me Israel is committing geocide in Gaza. Essentially they have a siege in place and Palestinians have nowhere to go. over i million cannot go south where Israel are bombing as well.
They are saying it doesn't matter how many innocents are killed as long as we kill Hamas underlings.
that is revenge not justice.
If only they read their hebrew bible

Nah, I do not agree with the use of the word genocide.

Which is not to say that every action by the Israelis is justified.

The depressing thing is that it was all entirely predictable, to everyone except Hamas, apparently? And as to what Israel thinks will fill the leadership hole even if they do manage to kill the current bunch of Hamas leaders - who knows?

It the evident lack of any long term idea as to how the situation could ever settle down that makes it so depressing.

Mate they cannot get out of the place and the Israelis do not care how many people they kill in trying to get rid of Hamas.

if it sounds like a duck and looks like a duck it is usually a duck

Once upon a time, Homer, people used to blame combatants for hiding amongst civilians.

Dishonest victim hood is a Jew thing. Jewish oppression of Palestinians is so horrible the mind is repelled by it and it becomes hard to believe. You should have gotten that right now the genocide is in play

Israel won’t last the decade. Avenging their own false flag against kids is such bad karma they can’t possibly hold on. Incredibly they kicked off the October 7 event during a NATO munitions shortage. They murdered their own civilians for the sake of atrocity porn then used up previous missiles on buildings and civilians

The Jews are in so much trouble and they brought it all in themselves. A sneak attack from Gaza was impossible, so it didn’t happen that way. That’s something that must be internalised and I hope I am not going too fast for you.

A sneak attack from Gaza did not happen because it could not happen. There can be no backsliding on this reality. Furthermore BIBI is a 9/11 perp so we have his modus operandi down cold.

In war using missiles for anything other than military targets is much much worse than a crime. It’s a mistake. Every missile is precious and you can’t afford to waste them like the insane allies did in WWII. Going for Jewish ritual sacrifice is a diversion of resources from the war effort. This is one reason so many of our soldiers did not make it home.

And this is one reason why the Spanish beat the Aztecs and why Israel will be defeated.

There was never an issue with getting the trespassing detainees released. They could have had them all out by October 20. This was always understood since they were only temporarily detained in order to get the hostages that the Jews had out.
