Nick Minchin, as far as I know, has never changed his mind on his climate change skepticism, which is effectively denialism.
He and his ilk are the reason a large slab of the electorate cannot stomach the Liberals until they repudiate once and fall Minchin's views on that crucial subject.
Update: Sure enough, reading the article that Latika is promoting, there is not a mention of climate change, even in passing. Just mostly "but women aren't voting for us".

You know nothing about science Steve. You are a complete idiot. You have no evidence.
Women aren't voting for them in part because of attitudes expressed on Catallaxy such as if nagging was neglected illegal domestic violence would almost vanish, that women should remain in the home and not be entitled to careers or the vote. Rhey chose Ley as a claim to caring about women but she is a lamb to the slaughter, a good example of parties having a stand in leader for an upcoming election they have no chance of winning.
It's not just that though, it was stupid were they to advocate a WFH ban. 10 seconds on Seek, punch in WFH, ~40,000 jobs nationwide. That's all it took for them to realise it was a stupid policy. WFH is entrenched just as the coalition is entrenched in atavistic perspectives.
