Goldstein is a very safe Liberal seat which in normal times would be easily retained yet it has not been.
wilson is a very unimpressive candidate
I dunno, I find I'm balancing the responsibility to be sorry for a person who has just lost their seat in a political battle with no small amount of satisfaction at the results. Bandt was a very annoying politician.
I hesitate to equate Wilson with Dutton or Morrison. I don't think either of them would have picked him. Didn't he make his way into politics under Turnbull?
Tim, I didn't like Bandt, or any of his (not very merry) band of Greens at all, either. (Curiously, I find it hard putting in precise words what about them annoys me so much, given that I should, in theory, be somewhat sympathetic to their environmental views. A lot is to do with their "too serious" temperament that feels very smug, and their habit of making the perfect the enemy of the good, I guess.)
But nonetheless, a politician gloating over another politician's narrow loss, especially when he barely won, is just a cringe thing to do.
But very "on brand" for Timbo!
What's that about TW being a narcissist?
