Huffington Post, of all places, notes that the El Paso shooter's manifesto includes references to eco terrorism - the need to reduce humans for the sake of the planet. It goes on to point out that this is not the first time it has appeared in white supremacist material. (And also, I did not know, in some of the European nationalist parties.)
This will, no doubt, be used by the Wingnut Right, which has convinced itself that Nazis were purely a Left wing phenomena and nothing to do with their side of the political spectrum (which is pure of heart, not like the evil, human-hating, Socialists which everything to the Left of them is now labelled), to deny that it has anything to do with why young men keep shooting up blacks, Hispanics and Jews.
It's not going to wash.

Of course they will try to blame Left wing themes while conveniently ignoring the fact that if that was a factor then Europe would be a killing field. Is it just a coincidence that the most militaristic and Christian advanced nation has this problem? I honestly don't know.
Everyone now has an opinion. What I'd like to see happen is a much more thorough investigation, including psych and neurologic evaluations of these mass shooters because I think it is more than just culture and belief, that something else is precipitating these mass killings in the USA. How many of these mass shooters had recently started antidepressant therapy?
I don't pay much heed to the manifestos of these individuals, like all humans they find some rationalisation to justify bad behavior. The causes of their behavior is probably something else entirely.
Let me guess: in the blog of grumpy old men they are blaming leftists?

A commenter at Catallaxy brought up the remarkable similarities of the American Left's Green New Deal and the environmental policies of the American Nazi Party. No shock there. Take a look.
