Although, truth be told, he is such a self promoting publicity tart he's probably figuring that it would be good for his career and will be hoping for it himself.
Has he ever been on Sunrise? He would probably kill to get a regular slot on that.
Update: I was rather busy with domestic duties on the weekend, but now I see that the post has caused considerable consternation at Catallaxy yesterday.
Sinclair linked to it in his open thread (with his usual lack of accuracy with English - see his comment in the thread) only to find that one person in particular at Catallaxy pretty much agreed with me, and went further in her criticisms of Wilson. SD started demanding an apology (on behalf of Tim?) and the end result seems to be either a banning (or self banning) of the commenter. Many others want her back.
The funny thing is, this departed commenter had made one of the most offensive comments about Greta Thunberg recently, which, to his credit, Sinclair edited when he noticed it. (To the discredit of everyone else at the blog, no one else had called her out for it.)
So, I inadvertently helped one of the more obnoxious commenters disappear from there. Cool!
And by the way, it's pretty funny that Sinclair tried to make a big deal out of this, when he went all in defending his good mate's fantasies about Muslims blowing up an ABC panel.

His long term goal is clear, he plans to be PM one day.
Advocating violence against an Australian MP?
Anon:
That sad trend began with Alan Jones comments about Gillard. Since then it has only become worse. Climate deniers to be persecuted, climate scientists to be persecuted. Left and Right yelling at each other eventually culminating in screaming for violence against their political opponents. I could hope for a little more civility in public debate but know better than to entertain such delusions.
Tim Wilson ... .
“Walked past Occupy Melbourne protest, all people who think freedom of speech [equals] freedom to be heard, time wasters … send in the water cannons,” he said.
Many people with his development disorder have narcissistic issues. I cannot have a strong opinion on these things. Still he does get points for sticking up for Israel Falou.
Credit to Wilson regarding the Falou issue. I was disgusted by that and even moreso by so many who attacked Falou. Somehow it morphed into a debate about discrimination against LGBTs but Falou was about many behaviors not uncommon in Australia. I think the Left chose to make it about the former because it suited their rhetorical intent.
Graeme I know what you mean about the narcissism but I'm not quite sure that is right description. Narcissists typically have a very nasty side to them and I don't see that in Wilson. He is more an opportunist\egocentric\insecure type. I'm struggling here but I hope you get my drift.
BTW, good to stay away from so much mainstream news. Not worth it Graeme. I tend to spend more time watching docos but am trying to get back to reading books.
You were right about the monetary madness Graeme. We are now descending into the second hell of quantitative easing. Which btw Kirchner is now touting as the best thing since sliced bread. We will soon literally be throwing money off helicopters to save the economy. Tim Wilson has become a very strong critic of the RBA madness btw.
