So, it seems that Elon's attempt to force employees to work 16 hour days and sleep in the office, all in the interests of changing Twitter into something that can make money for him, has resulted in so many resignations that many now expect it will break soon, and perhaps permanently.

Thanks for the update Steve. My previous comment touched on the possibility that many would walk out. I think Twitter is too poisonous so its demise would be a blessing.
It's not as poisonous as it could be. (See the Trump friendly alternatives).
I will be a bit sad about its demise. I just view it as a micro-blogging site that lets me easily follow people I like. And actually, during breaking events, and local emergencies, it is often the best place to go for immediate updates (rather than waiting for the MSM to report it), even though you know that not everything is going to be accurate.
Musk is right to think it is good that way (as a sort of fast breaking supplement to the more staid pace of the MSM.) He is 100% wrong, though, to not understand, or continually downplay, the malign power of deliberate misinformation and conspiracy for political purposes, and the harm that is causing societies.
